Our Core Practices

42 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.
— Acts 2:42-47 NLT

Our Beliefs

  • We believe the Bible (the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament Scripture) is the Word of God and that the original manuscripts are inerrant. The Bible alone is final authority in faith and life for all mankind.

    2 Timothy 3:16-17

    2 Peter 1:20-21

  • We believe there is only one true and living God. The eternal, self-existent God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

    Genesis 1:26

    Dueteronomy 6:4

    Isaiah. 43:10,11; 44:6,8; 45:5,6

    1 Peter 1:2

    John 1:1,14

    Acts 5:3,4

    Matthew 28:19

    1 Corinthians 8:5-6

    2 Corinthians 13:14

    1 Timothy 3:16

  • We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, is the Word (God) who became a man, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of the virgin Mary, and is both God and man having two natures co-joined in one Person.

    Matthew 16:16

    John 1:1-3,14

    John 3:16

    Philippians 2:5-11

    Colossians 2:9

    Luke 1:42

  • We believe Jesus Christ led a sinless life, bore the sins of all mankind in His body on the cross and died in our place receiving the punishment that was due us and now He offers salvation as a free gift to all mankind.

    Hebrews 4:15

    1 Peter 2:24

    John 3:16

  • We believe that Jesus Christ arose bodily from the dead, ascended bodily into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest, Intercessor, and Advocate. In turn, believers in Jesus Christ will also be raised bodily from the dead to spend eternity with God.

    1 Corinthians 15

    Luke 24:39

    Romans 8:34

    Hebrews 4:14

    1 John 2:1

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts men of sin, calls men to salvation in Jesus Christ, regenerates, sanctifies, bestows spiritual gifts and empowers believers to live Godly lives.

    Acts 5:3-4

    John 16:8-11

    Titus 3:5

    Ephesians 1:13-14

    Romans 12:4-8

  • We believe that in Adam, man was originally created in the image of God and after His likeness and that man fell through sin. Through the fall of Adam, all of mankind is now corrupt because of sin and estranged from God. We believe that man is unable to restore his relationship with God without God’s help.

    Genesis 1:26-27

    Romans 3:23

    Romans 5:6,12-21

    John 6:44, 15:5

    1 Corinthians 2:14

    Philippians 2:13

  • We believe that the Father saves mankind from sin, His wrath, death, and hell when a person is drawn to true repentance of their sin; receives, believes, and confesses the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior; is regenerated and renewed by the Holy Spirit based on grace alone, through faith alone to become a new creature who is a child and heir of God with eternal life.

    Ephesians 1:1-13; 2:8-10

    Luke 16:19-31, 24:47,

    John 1:12, 6:44, 11:25-26

    Luke 24:47

    Romans 2:4

    Romans 10:9-10, 13

    Titus 2:11-12, 3:5-7

    2 Corinthians 5:17

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ instituted two ordinances to the church, water baptism and the Lord’s Supper, to be observed until He returns.

    a) We believe the command of water baptism by immersion is an obedient, public response symbolizing a believer’s faith and identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

    Matthew 3:13-17, 28:18-20

    Mark 16:14-18

    John 3:1-8, 23

    Acts 2:37-41, 8:35-39, 10:44-48, 16:30-33

    Romans 6:3-5

    Colossians 2:11-12

    1 Peter 3:20-21

    b) We believe that the Lord’s Supper consisting of bread, representing his broken body, and the fruit of the vine, representing his shed blood, is a symbolic memorial of His suffering and death. Partaking in the Lord’s Supper in sincere faith expresses our communion with the blood and body of our Lord Jesus Christ anticipating his glorious return.

    Matthew 26:26-30

    1Corinthians 10:16-17, 11:23-29

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church (the Body of Christ), which is composed of those who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been redeemed by His shed blood and regenerated by the Holy Spirit. The mission of the Church is to disciple all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and to teach them all things Jesus commanded.

    Colossians 1:12-19

    1 Corinthians 12:12-27

    Matthew 28:18-20

  • We believe that God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. Marriage is the union of one man and one woman in covenant for a lifetime.  From the moment of conception, children are alive, a blessing, and a heritage of the Lord.

    Jeremiah 1:5
